Joclyn began her yoga journey almost 10 years ago when she was guided to try yoga for the first time during her pregnancy with her first child “Willow.” After her first class she felt an instant deep connection to the practice. She began to learn rather quickly that yoga would be a major pillar in her life.

After Joclyn had her daughter Willow, so much in her life changed. From an injury, to a divorce, to several other life lessons, hardships, and new beginnings, Joclyn started to look at life a little differently and began to seek more depth. In 2015 she made the decision to achieve her 230hr Yoga Certification from the amazing Yoga Center of Minneapolis. She began teaching in 2017 and shortly after her teaching began, she had an unforgettable dream.

The dream involved owning a yoga studio with a green wall. This studio would create a safe and non-intimidating space for the community to practice yoga, to seek growth within, and find the path back home to themselves. This dream with the green wall, along with the loving inspiration from her daughter Willow finally pushed forward the creation of Willow Soul Yoga.

Joclyn lives close to the community with her husband Ryan, daughter Willow, son Dash and their dog Luna. She is beyond excited to connect and bring yoga to the Otsego and surrounding communities!

BIO:

Jai Sugrim is a yoga teacher, massage therapist, healer and guide with 27 years of professional experience. Jai hosts a podcast called The Jai Sugrim Method, teaches six yoga classes per week, and coaches students who want to weave spirituality & health into their daily lives. Jai is steeped in the Jivamukti and Ashtanga Yoga lineages, and has a 15 year history of studying shamanism with master curanderos of the Peruvian Amazon. Jai has worked professionally with the New York Yankees, with whom he won a World Series Championship Ring in 2000, as well as many entrepreneurs and leaders across multiple fields. Jai was honored to teach yoga to high school students, for two years at Frederick Douglas Academy in Harlem, from 2014-2016. He has also been featured in the New York Times, The Huffington Post, and Psychology Today. Jai loves to share health and mindfulness practices that help his students attain peace of mind. His greatest passion lies in creating coherence among varied peoples. In this light, Jai believes that the breath is a perfect object of concentration.

BIO:

Lara Land is a deeply compassionate coach, consultant and yoga teacher trainer specializing in trauma sensitivity. Her work is in helping to heal trauma both subtle and significant and train others to do the same using yoga, meditation, mindfulness and breathing practices. Lara has spent the last 25 years studying and sharing yoga asana, chanting, meditation, and philosophy directly from her teachers in India. Her commitment is to honor the traditions of yoga by responding to the needs of each individual, using a unique combination of practices and techniques that are appropriate for their personal growth. Some of her many certifications include: trauma informed mindfulness, life coaching, therapeutic fasting, and mindfulness in nature.
