KulaYogaFest
Looking for something to do this Sept? We are thrilled yoga festivals are back and can’t wait to check out all the amazing events taking place around the world. This week we had a chance to connect with Laura Erickson, Founder and Director of Kula Yoga Fest taking place in NH who we are thrilled to partner with! You will be able to get complimentary copies of our magazine at this festival! Use code YOGALOVE for 10% off a Full Weekend Pass!

What inspired you to create a festival?
I’ve been fortunate to go to other yoga festivals and they have been the most transformational experiences of my life.  I wanted our local community to have access to those experiences right here in our beautiful mountains of NH!

What makes your festival unique?
This is New Hampshire’s first yoga festival! Never before has our neck of the woods had an event to come together, strengthen, and celebrate the yoga community, healing arts, and collective well-being. This will be a first of hopefully many for years to come as we all learn and grow together.

What offering/presenter or class are you most excited about for this year’s event?
I can’t pick just one, I’m so excited for everyone that will be presenting! Which is why we have a panel discussion with a handful of presenters on Saturday at 12:30pm.  I will moderate the group as each presenter shares their own accounts of how yoga has benefited their mental health and wellbeing.  We feel this conversation is more important now than ever, and hearing from the presenters is sure to be a heartfelt and inspirational experience, and one not to miss!

Looking for something to do this June? We are thrilled yoga festivals are back and can’t wait to check out all the amazing events taking place around the world. This week we had a chance to connect with Meredith Walsh, Festival Producer and Founder of Flow Jam Festival in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia who we are thrilled to partner with! You will be able to get complimentary copies of our magazine at this festival!

What inspired you to create a festival?
I was inspired after traveling and volunteering in Tanzania, where I taught yoga at a small village school that was started in its founder’s backyard. Our festival started as a fundraiser for this school, the Ikirwa School, outside of Arusha, Tanzania. We are so excited that this year we will be bringing the founder of the school to the United States for the first time and he will be joining us this year!

What makes your festival unique?
It’s the first of its kind. We are not just music, or healing classes, but a combination of everything with a mix of Burner culture with theme camps and art cars. It is a unique setting to get incredible music on a gorgeous property while submerging yourself into the healing arts. There is nothing else like it on the East Coast.

What offering/presenter or class are you most excited about for this year’s event?
All of it! I did all the booking this year, so I know it will be our best year yet!

Spotlight Festival: WellFest
Looking for something to do this June? We are thrilled yoga festivals are back and can’t wait to check out all the amazing events taking place around the world. This week we had a chance to connect with Chelsea Manganaro, founder and organizer of Nepa Yoga Fest in Scranton, PA  who we are thrilled to partner with! Register here for this event and make sure you pick up your complimentary copy of our magazine at this festival!

What inspired you to create a festival?
NEPA Yoga Festival started as a passion project to spread how many local spiritual practitioners are in our backyard, since 2015 the event has grown to the nearby states and continues to gain traction. Founder, Chelsea Manganaro, realized that we have plenty of wine festivals, vendor fairs, and concerts, but nothing surrounding yoga & wellness. Thus, NEPA Yoga festival was created.

What makes your festival unique?
This event is held at a waterpark and ski resort. It is a beautiful facility with plenty of amenities, the waterpark is also open so the day is filled with the sound of children laughing and splashing water. We also have a camping area that overlooks the whole valley. Although yoga is the main theme, we have so much more going on then that.

What offering/presenter or class are you most excited about for this year’s event?
We are super excited to have our first holistic expo happening at the same time. It will be indoors with some wonderful healers and vendors. There are so many amazing instructors it’s hard to choose.

BIG BEAR YOGA FESTIVAL
Looking for something to do this June? We are thrilled yoga festivals are back and can’t wait to check out all the amazing events taking place around the world. This week we had a chance to connect with Heather Viniar, visionary of International Yoga Day Fest (one of Sunshine Wellness Fests) taking place in Carlin Park, FLA who we are thrilled to partner with! You will be able to get complimentary copies of our magazine at this festival! The event is free for all to attend, and classes at International Yoga Day Fest are donation based, with proceeds going to Paws 4 Liberty. Here’s where to RSVP and donate

What inspired you to create a festival?
I was inspired to create a festival because I’m a connector. I connect people with their breath, with their body, and with one another. There’s nothing more fueling for me than generously listening to those around me and hearing ways I can connect them to people which miraculously just brings people together in a way that supports and benefits all.

What makes your festival unique?
What makes Sunshine Wellness Fests unique is that they create community, support local businesses, create healing, wellness, and FUN for all, and most importantly, each event gives back to a local organization that deserves a little extra love for what they do. International Yoga Day Fest 2023 is donating a portion of the proceeds to Paws 4 Liberty, a local non-profit that trains service dogs for Veterans at no cost. They are up to something so special, providing a valuable and meaningful service for the community.

We have some amazing sponsors supporting the event this year including TruWellnessMD, Bill Barbosa Photography, Collaborated Wellness Cryo, Thrive Power Yoga Palm Beach and more to be announced soon!

What offering/presenter or class are you most excited about for this year’s event?

The aspect I’m most excited for at International Yoga Day Fest 2023 is that the location the event is facing and the time of day it’s at, the sun will be setting while classes go on, especially our final class which is a community sound bath/meditation. It is going to be an incredible sight to see, and an incredible energy to experience.

LOVE PROFILE: Terri Speck
Looking for something to do this Fall? We are thrilled yoga festivals are back and can’t wait to check out all the amazing events taking place around the world. This week we had a chance to connect with Crystal Borup, Co-Founder of  Teton Yoga Festival in Idaho who we are thrilled to partner with! You will be able to pick up complimentary copies of our LOVE issue at this festival!

What inspired you to create a festival?
It all started with the desire to create something meaningful and to make an impact both locally and globally. We knew to be successful, we had to have an open heart and open mind, allowing things to unfold organically. So we set our intentions and trusted that we would be guided to create an experience that was more magical than we could have ever imagined.

What makes your festival unique?
We are committed to making a local and global impact.

Local impact: We will be providing education about our local land, ley lines, mountain ranges, wildlife, and the Yellowstone network. We will be honoring our land through ceremony and meditation. We are supporting local farms, raising awareness for their generous efforts to support the health and well-being of our community, and providing education about the importance of organic and biodynamic farming. We will also be raising money for the next generation, by supporting Mountain Roots Education, a local nonprofit that focuses on bringing gardens and greenhouses into our local schools, and educating about sustainable living.

Why we’ve partnered with Mountain Roots Education: We feel strongly that we need to focus on the next generation. Mother Earth depends on us more than ever to make change. Children are the future and it’s important that they are connected to the earth, and understand the importance of healthy and sustainable living. Mountain Roots Education has been partnering with schools and the community  to enrich lives and build sustainable communities by offering hands-on experiences in gardens, farms and wild places. They focus on school gardens and adult workshops for sustainable living.

Global impact: We plan to bring awareness to the ripple effect and how one person can make a difference in the world. We will be leading intentional healing meditations for our planet and humanity. We will be providing conscious experiences in nature while bringing awareness to the healing benefits that are available through connecting with mother earth. The TYF is an inclusive experience that honors all beings, living creatures, wildlife, nature, and our planet. We will be providing education on the true meaning of yoga, while creating opportunities for deep experiences of union.

We are offering two ticket options:
Leaders of Unity Package $695: The Leaders of Unity Package begins Thursday September 7th at 4pm and ends on Sunday September 10th at 4pm, and includes all main festival offerings mentioned above (classes, workshops, lectures, talks, music and dance), additional yoga classes, a farm to table dinner, access to guest speakers, and a welcome gift bag. A percentage of the proceeds from your ticket will go to support Mountain Roots Education, a local non profit that focuses on bringing gardens and greenhouses into our local schools, and educating the community on sustainable living.

All Access Festival Pass $395: The All Access Festival Class includes all main festival offerings mentioned above (classes, workshops, lectures, talks, music and dance) and begins Friday September 8 at 4pm, and ends on Sunday September 10th at 4pm.

Our valley (Teton Valley, ID) sits between the Grand Teton National Park, Targhee National Forest and the Big Hole Mountains. We are located one mile from the Wyoming border, 30 miles from Jackson Hole, and about 70 miles from Yellowstone National Park.

What offering/presenter or class are you most excited about for this year’s event?
There are so many that I am excited about, and we will be announcing our first round of presenters very soon, so I don’t want to give too much away. But, if I had to choose one offering, it would be the Farm to Table dinner, which is included in the Leaders of Unity Package and will be held the night before the main festival. We have partnered with local farms, and an incredible local chef. We will have live music, and guest speakers.

A few other things to note is that we are working with the local tribe to do an opening and closing ceremony for the festival and we have some wonderful, heart centered, and talented musicians we are excited about. More to come!
