About The Owner

Kimberly has been practicing Yoga since 2009. She is an E-RYT 200/ RYT 500 yoga teacher and a certified sound healer. She has a passion for teaching as yoga saved her life. Kimberly chose to become a teacher and open Come To Life Yoga in Fort Myers , Florida in 2014 so others can enjoy the amazing benefits and overall health through yoga. She takes pride in small group sessions and individual sessions to make sure the students get full knowledge of the yoga benefits and how to maintain overall health. The Hatha/Vinyasa yoga combination she teaches is for all levels and beginners. She also teaches power, heated vinyasa, Yoga Nidra, restorative yoga, yin yoga , adaptive yoga, chair yoga and sound bowl classes . Share with us what you love about what you do:
When I opened in 2014, it was to share love with others through the practice of yoga. You will see signs everywhere in the studio about love as reminders. It is because of the love and support of yogis that Come To Life Yoga and Sound Healing still exists after a pandemic and two major hurricanes that damaged the studio. I tell students to remember to love who they are first so they can love others. We find in yoga that it is a union of love. I have learned that unity and community provides us love.

Share with us what you have learned about LOVE:
Love is everything and everyone. If you love everything and everyone it brings you peace and fulfillment.

What inspired you to support Yoga Love Magazine?
When I found Yoga Love Magazine and was told the issue was about love, I knew I had to join it and help them reach others too. I am so grateful to be part of such a wonderful cause.  to grow together.

We serve as an inclusive, supportive, and transformative space to come together to practice. We seek to nurture a sense of belonging and shared accountability. Whether you come to yoga for the physical, mental, or spiritual benefits, we offer a wide variety of class options, workshops, and events, while being dedicated to honoring the roots of the yogic traditions.

Laura Erickson is the founder and owner of Mountain Kula Yoga. After a 20 year career in apparel design, her love of yoga, and connection to the Be Well community led her to acquire the yoga space at Be Well Studios and launch Mountain Kula Yoga. Laura was first introduced to yoga in 2005 while working at Eastern Mountain Sports Base Camp in Peterborough, NH. It was there that she learned the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga from former employee and co-worker, Robert Moses. Taking classes at Be Well Studios, she continued to deepen her Ashtanga practice with Dana Deschenes and was inspired to pursue teacher training, seeking not only the physical, but the mental and emotional benefits of a yogic lifestyle. She has studied Ayurveda with Cate Stillman, Heart Centered Leadership and Facilitation via the Spiritual Psychology curriculum of the University of Santa Monica, and most recently received her 300hr RYT from Ashley Turners Yoga.Psyche.Soul teacher training, focused on yoga psychology, yoga for mental health, social justice, and trauma-informed yoga.

Laura is most looking forward to welcoming and connecting with old and new friends as we return to practice in our new studio, and is humbled to play a small part in spreading the healing and transformational effects of yoga to the larger community. When not in the studio or on her mat, Laura can be found enjoying time outside with her husband and two sons, mountain biking in the summer and skiing in the winter, and occasionally attempting a headstand on a SUP.
