BEN CLARK INTERVIEW
Looking for something to do this June? We are thrilled yoga festivals are back and can’t wait to check out all the amazing events taking place around the world. This week we had a chance to connect with International Day of Yoga – Hoboken team who we are thrilled to partner with! Complimentary copies of our magazine will be available at this festival!

What are you most excited about for this year’s festival?
More participation from local yoga studios offering their seasoned teachers to teach a class at the event. Partnering with the Consulate General Of India. This year the summer solstice falls on a Saturday, which opens up to families and the public in general. The supported charity is CAP Inc (Companion Animal Placement). They help place hundreds of animals with their forever families. The animals come from abusive homes and the street, have been abandoned, or have been rescued from shelters to escape euthanization.

What is unique/special about the festival location?
Hoboken is quickly becoming a vibrant, mini Manhattan, drawing people from across the Tri-State region. I am confident that once you experience Pier A on this special Yoga Day, you will feel the magic of the space—surrounded by breathtaking skyline views and powerful spiritual energy. Hence already a popular yoga location for local classes.

Is there a theme to this year’s festival?
“Ekam Prithvi Swasthya” meaning “Yoga for One Earth, One Health” in line with this year’s global theme.

The theme of our issue is “celebrating age.” If you could share a message or piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?
“I am where I am now because of my holistic yoga practice both physically, mentally and spiritually.”
